6 Things I Wish I Knew Before I Started My First Blog

Blogging can be a great way to express yourself online, as well as make money through online means as well. Getting a good web hosting provider makes sense in this regard because you want to provide your prospective audience the best possible service that you can offer.
I do not want to brag but I can confidently say that I am a really good blogger now. But, things didn’t go as smoothly as I’d hoped when I first started.
It was through years of experience that refined me to become who I am now.
Today, I am going to talk about the things that I wish I knew before I started my blogging career.

Consistency is a Must

As a blogger, you need to gain a lot of page views so that you can improve your page rankings. As your page rankings improve, the more internet traffic you’re going to have which will prime your blog to become a money-making machine. However, for you to be able to achieve that, you must first be consistent with your content. I’ve had a couple of times where I didn’t create as many articles as I would like but that was mainly because of personal problems.
After looking at my website’s statistics, my web traffic tanked quite a bit which prompted me to start being more serious about creating quality content.
As soon as I’ve published 5 articles per week for about 6 months, then and only then has my success improved. Consistency is always a must if you are to think about creating a blog that everyone will love.

Be Socially Available

Keep in mind that success in blogging doesn’t happen overnight. It took me years to establish my presence online and if that scared you, you’re not alone.
Fortunately, there is a way for you to improve your web traffic almost immediately and that is through social media.
Google will not be able to improve your page rankings if you are still relatively new.
However, you can improve your blog’s visibility by advertising on different social media platforms.
You can further increase your results by looking into purchasing Facebook ads, for example, as they are targeted and can be done at a relatively inexpensive price.

Establish Your Mailing List

Another great way for you to get more and more people to visit your blog is through email marketing. For you to do this, you have to first establish your email list by prompting people to sign-up to your service for free when they visit your page for the first time.
Take advantage of social proof by making high-quality content. When people stumble upon your blog, sign up to your mailing list, and they see that you actually create something really good, they will then talk about your blog to their friends and family which will, in turn, improve your blog’s traffic.

Don’t Be Afraid to Spend Money

This is something that you should always bear in mind: For you to be truly successful in blogging, you must not be afraid to spend money.
Truth be told, I spend more than $25,000 on my blogs per month, but that is because I enjoy so much revenue that I get a lot of money in return. You could say that you have to spend money to earn more.
Create a blog that has a really good design. If this is not your strong suit, hire a web designer to help you.
It is also important that you get a good hosting service as a free web host won’t give you the results the same way I did.
Furthermore, use the proper advertising channels such as the social media one that I’ve mentioned, as well as email marketing, and others.
Again, spending money is required if you want to get the best possible results in the shortest amount of time.

Build a Community

Create an account on all major social media platforms and be active there.
Of course, post a link of your blog on the page so that people can readily visit it when they have the time. Building a community really helps, whether you are still starting out or you’re an already famous blogger.

Write Content That They Will Never Forget

Last but not the least, create content that they will never forget. Create something that actually suitable solutions to your readers. Write something that your readers will love reading. Make something that your readers will love you for.
